I have been a huge fan of Filofax since my first year of university. I used it to organise every aspect of my life; classes, work, finances, social life and everything in between. For the past ten years I have loved my sweet pink planners. I started with a pink leather pocket size and then I moved onto a pink leather personal size.
Gradually I have been outgrowing my current Filofax. So I started to research some other diaries and planners, but nothing seemed to stand out. I even tried making my own with a Martha Stewart binder and some inserts from Etsy that you can download and print, but it just didn't work. So I bought a new 2013 insert for my Filofax and decided to make do with what I had.
Just after Christmas I was reading one of my favourite organisational blogs A Bowl Full Of Lemons when I stumbled upon an older post about a Life Planner by Erin Condren. I remember reading it at the time it was published and thought it was a fun planner, but I loved my Filofax so that was that. When I read the post again, I knew that this was exactly what I was looking for and it was time for a change. I spent the next few days researching to make sure that it was the right planner for me. I was impressed by the huge number of good reviews so I ordered a personalised planner in Taffy Stripes on 2nd January. The order process is very simple and they ship internationally via courier. A week later, I was notified that my planner had been shipped and I would be in receipt of it 2-4 days later. A week went by before I contacted the team at Erin Condren. The team were very helpful and told me that they had accidentally shipped the planner by air mail and not by courier. The team offered me a full refund for the shipping and then the waiting game began.
Yesterday I finally received my Erin Condren Life Planner. Bless the poor postman who thought I was having some kind of fit when I saw the box in his hands!
Even the box is darling
Freebie labels
Personalised notepads
Trying to pick a design took quite some time, but I am thrilled with my decision
Useful pocket at the back of the planner
There are lovely words of wisdom scattered throughout. I particularly like this one which will serve as a reminder to Make Every Day Count
Fun stickers
Extra plain stickers, a page ruler and a pocket
I love to plan, organise and make notes, so I hope I will really enjoy using my Erin Condren Life Planner.
What do you use to keep your agenda in order?

that is really lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have a pink pocket Finsbury filofax (the one that raises money for Breast Cancer), and that does me nicely. But I love your new planner too!

Oh Morwenna, I just LOVE it!!!!!!!! It's so darling and so personalised....just perfect!! Thank you for sharing this with me. I use two separate calendars and sometimes, I have to admit, that simply does not work. I received a Cath Kidston small one with darling wonderful flowers a few years ago, and then used it for a couple of years, searching far and wide for a duplicate in subsequent years. I loved the darling print, but it was so small, I always ran out of room. I'm definitely going to look into this one, as I love the ability to make it my own and there's a lot going on this year...
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear! It's darling!!
Hello sweetie,
ReplyDeleteYour new planner is gorgeous! Love how it personalized just for you! I didn't realize a planner of this sort even existed. I can see why you LOVE it so! Happy planning! I hope your year will be filled with many splendid things! xoxo
Just PERFECT!
ReplyDeletehello lovely. just saw your comment and flew over to answer. I love all of the Kringle candles, but my favourite has to be the spiced apple, closely followed by the frosted cake. I wouldn't buy hot chocolate ever again, as it was a very sickly, heady smell, and gave me headache. But that's just me! The Peony is very delicate, pretty, and light. I've also just got through Fresh Lilac, which is utterly gorgeous, I had a vanilla-lavender tart melting in the kitchen last week, and that too was beautiful. The truth is they are all lovely! I have stopped buying Yankee, and only buy Kringle now, they are THAT good. I never thought I'd turn down Yankee, but Kringle are nicer, the jars they come in are beautiful and reuseable, and I love that the candles are white but still scented.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy them. You will love them! Promise!

I carry a calendar in my purse, plus one on my desk. Sometimes I am even able to see the one on the desk.:-) Your planner looks quite remarkable! Let us hear how you progress with it.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh the memories of my daughter hauling around her real leather filofax. She went nowhere without it. I had no idea people still used them when you can do that stuff in your phone. But it wouldn't be nearly as adorable as yours. Love the personalized cover and the stickers. Hope every day is filled with magic. I don't organize my life, it's pretty dull and it all fits in my head. I do write crafts shows on my wall calender along with my daily transits. This year I hurt my pinkie and can't really write for long yet but I do have the transit list in my phone. Hehe sure your life will be filled with good transits and even better appointments and celebrations.
